Asylum for Chinese national fearing persecution

A Chinese man had been living in the United States for several years and was afraid of the persecution he would face if he returned to his home country. However, he did not know what he needed to do in order to remain in the United States. Luckily for him, he contacted Margaret W. Wong & Associates. Our immigration experts at the firm helped him prepare his I-589 Application for Asylum and Withholding of Removal. We made sure that he told his story clearly and fully on his application and ensured that he was ready to go to court. One of our attorneys represented him at his hearings and his Asylum application was granted.

Soon after his grant of asylum, our client again asked the firm to help him apply for Permanent Residency, a Green Card. Our lawyers and staff members went back to work on his case and once again helped him achieve his goal. U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services approved his Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status without any problem. Now this man is a lawful permanent resident in the United States where he can live free from fear.
