The Catholic Call to Health” at the First Friday Club

On Thursday, January 6th, we went to the First Friday Club of Cleveland luncheon where the speaker was Ms. Lindsay Fullerton, Founder and Coach of “Fit from Faith” that educates Catholics on healthy and balanced living.

As its website reads, “Fit from Faith is a Christ-centered health and wellness organization designed to inspire Catholic seminarians, priests, religious and laity to achieve personal transformations in mind, body, and spirit…Our wellness coaching focuses on practical application and an integrated approach to living out a healthy lifestyle as a Catholic.”

During lunch, we shared a table with Mr. Miguel Chavez, Director of the Office of Missionary Discipleship at the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland. When he learned that we worked with Ms. [nap_names id=”FIRM-NAME-1″], Mr. Chavez shared with us a fascinating story about how his father immigrated to the United States from Mexico in 1979 to seek a better life.

After years of working as a farm laborer, Miguel’s dad settled in Alliance, Ohio where he helped establish several Hispanic restaurants which were very successful and became a U.S. citizen in 1994.

When we got to meet Ms. Fullerton, we asked about introducing “Fit to Faith” to immigrant populations and she graciously told us that she believed that this was a great idea, and would gladly welcome any input as to how to accomplish this.
