Egyptian Festival at St. Mark’s

On Friday, August 27th through Sunday, August 29th, the 31st Annual Egyptian Festival took place at St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Church on Pleasant Valley Road in Seven Hills.

It is billed as “an Egyptian cultural experience with great food, musical entertainment, and souvenirs.”

Usually, Margaret W. Wong & Associates LLC tables there all weekend but at this year we were committed to attending the Akron Pride Festival and One World Day which took up all our time on Saturday and Sunday.

Therefore, in order that we may show our support, Ms. Madeline Agaibi, the festival’s key organizer, arranged for our office to hang a banner in the festival gathering hall all weekend in a prominent place.

As we attempted to hang the banner by ourselves, we soon discovered that we were not too good at balancing ourselves on a ladder, so a nice guy named Gamal, with a handful of push pins, stepped forward to help us.

We very much enjoy working with Ms. Agaibi who goes out of her way to assist people who have immigrated to the United States.
