Asafu Suzuki joined Margaret W. Wong & Associates in August 2017, having served Asian American Community Services, in Columbus, Ohio, as Program Director. Her experience in building legal support for community-based organizations, and her career focus on advancing civil and human rights, give Asafu a strong background as an attorney in our Columbus, Ohio, office.
Asafu assists clients in all areas of immigration law, including family and employment law, criminal alien issues, asylum, deportation and removal proceedings, and non-immigrant visas.
Fluent in Japanese, she is originally from Yokohama.
Elena Albamonte, Esq., is an experienced immigration attorney specializing in all aspects of family-based immigration including removal and deportation defense, asylum, unlawful presence waivers, and other matters before the Executive Office of Immigration Review (EOIR) as well as the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
Prior to practicing Immigration, she worked on matters before the Social Security Administration specializing in Social Security Disability appeals. During law school she clerked with the Los Angeles Public Defender’s office as well as Neighborhood Legal Services’ self-help center assisting members of the community with eviction defense.
Ms. Albamonte obtained her J.D. from Mercer University – Walter F. George School of Law in Macon, Georgia, and completed her undergraduate work at the University of Maryland. She is admitted to practice in Georgia and works at the firm’s Atlanta office.
Elena was born and raised in Washington, D.C. and its suburbs.
