Immigration Attorney Francis Fungsang Helps Local School By Sponsoring Hole at Golf Tournament

Our immigration attorney and law firm partner, Francis Fungsang, participated in a golf outing benefiting the St. Dominic School in Shaker Heights, Ohio.

Founded in 1950, with 225 students and a 9 to 1 student teacher ratio, St. Dom School, teaches children, kindergarten through the eighth grade,

St. Dom offers a rigorous curriculum following the guidelines set by the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland, Ohio, which align with – and often exceed – the Common Core State Standards and the standards for the State of Ohio. For the past five years, St. Dom has been increasing content literacy through STREAM education, which includes Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. The STREAM project lab provides a physical space for students to collaborate.

As children show signs of readiness, St. Dom teaches them at an accelerated pace, introducing new subjects, while devoting extra resources to those who need them. Students have access to a range of technology, including iPads and Chromebooks. A broad range of curricula include Language Arts, Mathematics, Religion, Science, Social Studies, Art, Technology, Library, Music, Health and Physical Education, and Spanish. St. Dom even has a Band, and is the proud home of the Bulldogs, under which students can compete in soccer, football, lacrosse, basketball, track, baseball and cross country running.

Francis won’t admit to his score, but all foursomes participated in a shotgun start, playing four ball, best ball – giving all players an opportunity to contribute to the team’s success. [nap_names id=”FIRM-NAME-1″] sponsored one of the holes – the sponsorship benefiting St. Dominic School.
