USCIS Behind on Releasing DACA Renewal Instructions

In early April, USCIS announced that it would be releasing instructions for DACA renewals in late May. Still no word! DREAMers are finding themselves stuck – they could be applying to renew their DACA but USCIS is refusing to accept renewal applications until it releases the new info and form. Because of USCIS delay, DREAMers fear having their DACA expire before renewal is processed. This means potentially accruing unlawful presence, losing drivers’ licenses, having to drop college, and other fears. Department of Homeland Security must act ASAP to provide these kids with a way to renew their DACAs!
