Plexus Network Night at Skylight Financial Group

Monday night we went Plexus Network Night at Skylight Financial Group on West 25th Street which faithfully hosts this gathering each year.

We really enjoyed talking to a person who served on former U.S. Congressman Dennis J. Kucinich's staff when he was Mayor of Cleveland from 1977 to 1979 and hearing about some of the things that took place behind the scenes at that time.

We also made a good contact for Margaret W. Wong and Associates who was a person who works for a global technology firm that employs many foreign-born people. Our new friend promised to send us the contact information for the appropriate party within the firm so that we can send him/her a letter about our services.

In addition we talked to a businessperson who told us that a client located in another country asked for the contact information of Margaret W. Wong and Associates because this client has employees who have questions pertaining to immigrating to the United States.

Of course, "Pride in the CLE" was discussed and everyone agreed that it came off pretty darn well especially considering how quickly it was put together.

Mr. Darl Schaaff, who supervised us as we were helping to set up for the festival, said that he estimated that there were 2500-3000 people there at various times of the day. As for the parade, Mr. Schaaff especially liked it because over 60 different groups took part in it and it moved along smoothly. He said that he felt a lot of "community" there.

Come to think of it, could we have been counted as a group of one as we marched in the parade wearing our Margaret W. Wong t-shirt? Probably not but we were still happy to take part.
