Greetings! As we enter the holiday season I try and stay upbeat and positive about the world of immigration. As the administration deals with the healthcare roll out problems and Congress faces up to historically low approval ratings, I hope our leaders realize that immigration reform may offer an area for popular and bi-partisan political action.

There are other developments that also give me hope. In the last month the state of Illinois has granted undocumented immigrants who can prove they have resided in the state for more than a year the ability to get a driver's license. I have long argued that a driver's license should be reflective of your ability to safely operate a vehicle and nothing more. I am delighted to see the leadership in Illinois coming to their senses on this issue and I hope other states will follow suit.

I urge you to visit our newly redesigned website at www.imwong.com. We listened to a lot of feedback from clients and other parties to create what we hope is a really useful portal to our firm.

Best regards and a happy holiday season to you all,

Margaret W. Wong
