Plexus Summer Social Networking

On Wednesday, August 30th, our only event was a "Plexus Summer Social Networking" gathering which took place at "Pura Vida by Brandt" on Euclid Avenue near the "Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument" in downtown Cleveland. It was a lovely affair consisting of excellent appetizers and good friends who we really enjoyed spending time with.

Indeed in an age of great dissatisfaction, it was encouraging to be around a man like Mr. Ted Olson, a Realtor with "Kurtz & Company" who said that he really loved his job because he loved helping people and his work gave him the opportunity to do so. The same could be said for Mr. Robert Sacerich, Business Development Manager with "Express Employment Professionals" who has helped quite a few refugees find jobs in the produce packaging industries on both the west and the east sides of Cleveland. Another person who has the opportunity to help immigrants on occasion was Ms. Linda Nemeth, Destination Director with "Discover My Cleveland" who helps people plan their visits to Cleveland who come here for a general or specific purpose.

In addition to those we just mentioned, we connected with a young man whose family came to the United States as refugees from the Ukraine when he was only six years-old and Reverend Jason Thompson, Senior Pastor with "West Park United Church of Christ" who recently re-located here from West Virginia. Of course, we always like running into Ms. Elaine Price, President and CEO of "NatureVation Outdoor Adventures" who is married to Mr. Gordon Landefeld, our colleague at "Margaret W. Wong & Associates."

Certainly a person with a humanitarian-oriented occupation was Mr. Tomy Correa, Executive Director of "B. Riley Sober Home" which was opened last November. It's mission is to assist LGBTQ people with chemical dependencies.

Admittedly, we did not get much sleep the previous evening but we left "Pura Vida by Brandt" feeling upbeat and energized thanks to spending time with such positive people. We want to thank Ms. Katie Klonowski and Ms. JoAnn Huge who are respectively the establishment's Director of Operations and Private Dining Coordinator for hosting such an effectual event.
