Northeast Ohio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Networking
On Wednesday evening we attended the Spring Networking Event for the Northeast Ohio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (NEOHCC) that was held at "Campus Grille" on Seminary Avenue in Berea.
We were greeted by Mr. Luis Roman, the owner/proprietor of the establishment who prepared a fine buffet of appetizers for the occasion.
We got to visit with people that we have known for a while like Mr. Jason Estremera, Ms. Jenice Contreras, Ms. Suzanne Smaltz, and Ms. Myra Rosario.
We also spent time talking with Ms. Kristin Sanchez who served on the board of "El Barrio" with Ms. Margaret W. Wong about 10 years ago; Mr. Irwin Caraballo from "Steel Valley Credit Union" who was honored at the Hispanic Heritage Month celebration at Cleveland City Hall; and Ms. Renita Charrlin of "HR and Relo Advisors" which has helped international people relocate.
It is well worth our time to attend NEOHCC functions because, as its literature states, Hispanic-owned small businesses outpace the growth of all other small businesses in the U.S. by a ratio of 3 to 1."
Plus we had several good conversations about the viability of the immigration policies of the current administration including one that concerned the possible hiring of immigrants and refugees.
