Holiday Coffee Contacts

On Thursday, December 1st, we attended the Mentor/Eastern Lake County Chambers of Commerce's Holiday Coffee Contacts which took place at the Quail Hollow Resort in Concord which has hosted this annual event for six years now.

Over 50 people attended and we had a good time chatting with Mr. Chris Baxter from Atlas Cinemas about the holiday influx of potential hit movies.

On this day, we brought along a copy of Ms. Margaret W. Wong's book, "The Immigrant's Way" to be given away as a door prize. It was won by Mr. Jonathan E. Wilterdink of Thrivent Financial who acknowledged that the topic was quite timely and was very glad to have won it. We hadn't met him before but we look forward to seeing him again.

As for the holidays themselves, probably the most pertinent thing that was said came from Dr. Brian Posler, the President of Lake Erie College, who urged everyone to "keep the students in mind as the buckle down for finals."

As former college students ourselves, we not only endorse Dr. Posler's point-of-view; we also urge prayers.
