Having interned in a Nablus, Palestine, law firm while attending college in Cleveland, and subsequently at University of Dayton School of Law, Ameed’s sense for having the justice of good legal representation for United States immigrants evolved. During law school he clerked at the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s office, and two years after passing the bar he become Assistant Prosecutor for the City of Cleveland Prosecutor’s Office Criminal Division, in Cleveland, Ohio. After nearly three and a half years at the Prosecutor’s office, he worked at another immigration law firm prior to joining Margaret W. Wong & Associates LLC.
Fluent in Arabic, and a member of the Ohio Bar, the American Bar Association, the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), the National Association of Muslim Lawyers, and the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, Ameed represents clients at court in immigration proceedings that include removal defense, asylum applications, and family-based petitions.
