Margaret W. Wong & Associates at Lake County Pride 2026
On Saturday, August 15, 2026, Lake County Pride 2026 brought thousands of people together at the Lake County History Center. Margaret W. Wong & Associates LLC was proud to sponsor the event and have a table at the festival. It was our first time taking part in Lake County Pride.
Organized by LGBTQ+ Allies Lake County, the 2026 festival featured nearly 100 vendors. An estimated 3,500 to 4,000 people attended the event. The festival gave community members, families, businesses, and local organizations a chance to come together and celebrate inclusion.

Celebrating Inclusion and Community

One of the highlights of Lake County Pride 2026 was seeing so many local churches take part. We were especially happy to have a table next to First Presbyterian Church-Willoughby.
Throughout the day, we enjoyed talking with the church’s parishioners. Their presence at the festival was a great example of the many people and groups working to build a welcoming community.
In addition, Lake County Pride gave us a chance to meet people from many different backgrounds. We were grateful for the warm welcome we received from everyone who stopped by our table.
Talking About Immigration
Many people stopped by the Margaret W. Wong & Associates table to talk with our team. Some visitors simply wanted to thank Ms. Wong and her staff for helping immigrants and their families through the U.S. immigration process.
Just as importantly, many people shared their own stories about immigration. They told us about friends, family members, neighbors, and co-workers who had moved to the United States.
For example, one local business owner told us about one of his best employees. The employee had spent years trying to bring his family to the United States from Mexico. Recently, he finally received good news.
Stories like this show how important the immigration process can be for families. They also remind us that immigration affects people in communities throughout Northeast Ohio.
Meeting a Future Immigration Attorney
Another visitor wanted to introduce us to a young woman from Brazil. She is now a paralegal and hopes to become an immigration attorney.
As it turned out, we already knew her. She was Fernanda da Silva Alves, a member of the Margaret W. Wong & Associates team in Cleveland.
We were happy to hear about her goals. We believe she has a bright future ahead of her, and we look forward to seeing where her career takes her.
Proud to Support Lake County Pride
Our first Lake County Pride was a rewarding experience. We had the opportunity to meet people from across Lake County and hear their stories. We also had the chance to talk about our work helping immigrants and their families.
Most of all, the event reminded us of the importance of community and inclusion. We are grateful to LGBTQ+ Allies Lake County for organizing Lake County Pride 2026. We also thank everyone who stopped by our table and shared a conversation with us.
Margaret W. Wong & Associates LLC is proud to serve immigrants and families throughout Northeast Ohio. We look forward to taking part in more community events and continuing to support the people who make our communities stronger.
