CLEVELAND, OH — Margaret W. Wong, founder and managing partner of Margaret W. Wong & Associates, LLC, has been named one of the 2026 Cleveland 500 by Cleveland Magazine. The annual list honors leaders who are helping shape the future of Northeast Ohio.

A Leader in Immigration Law

The Cleveland 500 recognizes people whose work shows vision, care, and a strong commitment to their communities. Wong joins leaders from business, law, education, healthcare, nonprofits, and other fields across Northeast Ohio.

This recognition marks another milestone in Wong’s long career in immigration law, advocacy, leadership, and community service.

Wong founded Margaret W. Wong & Associates, LLC and grew the firm from a single desk into a nationally recognized immigration law practice. Today, the firm has offices in several cities and more than 60 employees.

Over the years, Wong has helped thousands of immigrants and families navigate the U.S. immigration system. Her work has helped clients seek lawful permanent residence and citizenship. She has also defended people facing deportation.

Service to the Cleveland Community

Wong’s work goes beyond immigration law. She has held many leadership and community roles, including president of the Cleveland Chapter of the Federal Bar Association.

She has also served on boards and advisory boards throughout Northeast Ohio. In addition, Wong has spent many years mentoring young professionals and supporting local community efforts.

Education has also played an important role in her career. Wong has served as an adjunct professor of immigration law at Case Western Reserve University School of Law. She has also led seminars on immigration and naturalization law for attorneys, professional groups, and the public.

Her work has earned many honors, including the Ellis Island Medal of Honor, induction into the Ohio Women’s Hall of Fame, the NAPABA Trailblazer Award, and recognition by Best Lawyers. Cleveland Magazine has also recognized Wong in the past as one of its Most Interesting People.

The 2026 Cleveland 500 recognition adds to Wong’s long record of leadership and service in Cleveland, where she has built her legal career and supported the community.

“Cleveland has been an important part of my journey for many decades,” Wong said. “I am deeply honored to be included among the Cleveland 500 and to be recognized alongside so many individuals who are working to make Northeast Ohio stronger. I am grateful to our clients, our team, and the communities we serve for their trust and support.”

Margaret W. Wong & Associates, LLC is proud to celebrate this honor and Wong’s continued work to help immigrants, families, businesses, and communities pursue new opportunities and build their futures in the United States.
