Margaret W. Wong & Associates Sponsors Día de la Madre Celebration in Cleveland.

Margaret W. Wong & Associates LLC proudly sponsored the “Día de la Madre” (Mother’s Day) celebration hosted by Peruvian Cultural Association of Northeast Ohio on Saturday, May 2. The event took place at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Hall and brought the community together for an evening of culture and connection.
Supporting Peruvian Culture in Cleveland
PERUCAN-OH was founded by Peruvian immigrants and their families. The group works to preserve and share Peruvian culture across Northeast Ohio. In addition, events like Día de la Madre help fund important community projects.
For example, proceeds from the event support the future Peruvian Cultural Garden on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. This garden will become part of the Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation. It will highlight Peru’s history, art, and traditions in a public space.
A Voice from the Community
During the celebration, we spoke with Rayza, a young woman of Peruvian heritage. She explained that many people in Northeast Ohio do not fully understand Peruvian culture. However, she believes the new garden will help change that.
According to Rayza, the project will give the community a chance to share its story. It will also show visitors how unique and vibrant Peru truly is.
Building Community Through Culture
Overall, the Día de la Madre celebration did more than honor mothers. It strengthened community ties and promoted cultural awareness. In the same way, support from local organizations helps these efforts grow.
Through its sponsorship, Margaret W. Wong & Associates continues to support cultural diversity in Cleveland and beyond.
