We have started receiving notifications from USCIS regarding the annual asylum fee for pending Form I-589 (Application for Asylum and for Withholding of Removal) cases. This fee is now a required part of maintaining your pending asylum application.
How to Pay the Fee
Clients must pay this fee themselves using the official USCIS link.
Steps to Follow
- Go to the link above
- Enter your A# (Alien Number)
- Enter your I-589 Receipt Number (RN)
- Choose your payment method — debit card, credit card, or bank account.
- Submit payment.
After Submitting
- If you filed Form I-589 online, you’ll receive your payment receipt in your USCIS online account shortly.
- If you filed by paper, USCIS will mail a physical receipt to the address listed on your Form I-589.
