New October 2025 Visa Bulletin Release
The U.S. Department of State has released the October 2025 Visa Bulletin, a key monthly resource for green card applicants. This bulletin outlines how long individuals may need to wait before filing for permanent residency.
USCIS has announced the following filing guidance for October:

Family-based green card applicants should use the “Dates for Filing” chart.

Employment-based green card applicants should also use the “Dates for Filing” chart.
This means applicants living in the U.S. can file their adjustment of status applications earlier than if the “Final Action Dates” were being used — as long as their priority date is earlier than the listed date on the “Dates for Filing” chart.
- EB-5 for India moved forward under the final action chart by almost 15 months.
- F2A (Spouses & Children of Permanent Residents) for India: The final action chart for F2A India advanced from Sept. 1, 2022 to Feb. 1, 2024.
- Other EB categories (India and China): EB‑2 and EB‑3 final actin chart for India and China show modest forward movement in October – while many other countries remain current or see smaller gains.
- Multiple EB categories: dates of filing for EB-1 to EB-3 advanced in many categories, some advancing more than a year.
- EB-5 China Category: The dates of filing for EB-5 China Category has retrogressed by three months
- You can now use the dates of filing chart for filing employment-based cases in October 2025.
