New USCIS Fees

The United States government has changed several fees related to immigration filings.

USCIS’s website states “Applicants must submit the new fees with benefit requests postmarked on or after July 22, 2025.”

New Asylum Application Fee

All I-589 (Application for Asylum and for Withholding of Removal) filings must include a new $100 USCIS filing fee, and USCIS will start sending notices for people with pending I-589s to pay the new annual $100 fee.

Initial C08 EADs have a filing fee of $550 (the first C08 EAD is no longer free), all C08 EAD renewals have a filing fee of $795 (online filing fee is $745)

There is one exception to these fees. If an alien requests an EAD after we approve a new period of parole (re-parole) by filing Form I-131, Application for Travel Documents, Parole Documents, and Arrival/Departure Records, the fee will be the lower H.R. 1 fee of $275;

The above are only the USCIS filing fee changes, there are also new EOIR filing fee changes, these are clearest in this chart: https://nipnlg.org/sites/default/files/2025-07/Final-Fee-Increases-HR1.pdf
