The DHS has announced a new, safe and lawful route for eligible Haitians, Nicaraguans and Cubans to live in the U.S. Individuals travelling into the country by air via this new process may also apply for work authrorization. The DHS also announced that there will no longer be a cap for Venezuelans entering the U.S. via a similar process announced previously.
Applicants must have a financial supporter in the U.S. and undergo stringent security vetting; other eligibility criteria must be met. Once approved, applicator can travel to the U.S and receive a temporary period of parole for up to two years. The DHS encourages nationals of these countries to consider this route if they do not meet the criteria for other visas.
Applicants must complete the process electronically and should not approach the border to access this process.
